Excellent Feature Set!
This is one of the most undervalued products I have ever owned. I use my Echo Show 5 primarily as a smart alarm clock. Being able to set my alarm by talking to it is so convenient, I also use it to control the bedroom lights and play m e some nice music to sleep to. One day when I was sick and didn’t want to get out of bed to retrieve a tablet, I was able to stream my Amazon Video Content on this device. Sure the screen is small, but laying on the bed watching it didn’t strain my eyes at all. The sound was awesome, Amazon having put better speakers in this new version (from my gen 1 which is now in the workshop). The adaptive lighting and screen color based on the ambient light in the room is perfect. The Alexa Skills allow me to play games with Alexa, and she keeps me supplied with dad jokes for work. You can customize the types of push alerts the Echo Show 5 gives you, which allows to you greatly reduce the number of ads you see. All in all, the value for the money is amazing, and you will continually find new uses for this excellent little item!

Perfect for Daily Use and Home Automation!
I use my Echo Show 5 every single day, and it has completely streamlined my routine! From waking me up in the morning with its alarm clock, to giving me the weather update and even letting me know my commute time to work, it keeps me on track. One of my favorite features is how it reminds me of important tasks throughout the day, so I never forget anything. On top of that, it’s become an essential part of my smart home setup—I can easily control my lights, check my security cameras, and even open and close my garage all with simple voice commands. The screen is clear, the speaker is great, and it’s the perfect size for a nightstand or desk.

Very definite and noticeable improvements over previous models.
Since the Echo Spot in my bathroom was constantly losing the internet connection and had to be restarted, I decided to replace it with the Show 5 on my desk and buy this new version of the Show 5 for my desk.Admittedly, I don’t use all of the available options since I don’t need them. When I watch Prime Video it is on my TV, but you can watch movies on this device if you want to. You can connect with video calling if the people you want to connect to have the Alexa app or an Echo device with a screen. I, personally, don’t know anyone that has these things that I would want to connect to. You can control compatible smart devices if you have them. I do use smart devices, but they are not Alexa enabled and are controlled by other apps.The most dramatic difference for me is the color contrast and vivid colors of the screen – they are incredible. This version stays connected to the internet more consistently than the previous version and verbal response is much better. Although I have speakers for the older Show 5 I put in my bathroom, this newer version really doesn’t need them unless you want booming sound. The base and quality of the sound is a huge improvement.Even though I don’t use all of the available options for this Show 5, I do love the screen and sound quality, but the other options are available if you want to use them.I hope this review was helpful for you. I will update this review if my opinion changes.

Sometimes has a mind of its own but it’s all for a good time.
I actually love it. It works really good. It goes surprisingly loud and is compatible with all my cameras. It has a couple of lags sometimes when I ask for my cameras to be open, but I’m chopping it up to my shotty Internet and the bad weather.My favorite feature is when there’s a banger song on and Echo knows it so it decides to turn the volume up on its own. The whole family has a little dance party, but then it goes right back down to normal when the good parts end. I’m just saying maybe my echo has good taste. I don’t know, I think it’s pretty cool. Other than that no complaints

Nice little unit very durable worth the price
Any device or anything is always going to guaranteed get a beating for me eventually not intentionally of course but apparently pretty rough with stuff now Alexa and I have been together now for I’m not quite sure how to help you with that see anyway she has worked flawlessly do all kinds of stuff with her I mean there’s so much stuff on there that she can do that I don’t need her to do so but what I do need her to do she does very well like I’ve got some smart plugs and other stuff so and it all works fine and yes he’s and she’s taking a lick and she’s taking a beating she’s taking some falls and some shots yeah she just keeps on working perfect screen is still immaculate i’m not sure how that happened but yeah I would definitely if you just need a little device like this but it’s kind of screening and you can put your photos up there or whatever you want it’s pretty cool and I know she listens to everything and then the nsa is all but whatever but you know what they already know where I am and they already know how I feel about them so secrets I make sure to tell them where to go at least once a day
