LOVING MY ECHO SHOW 8!
I finally upgraded from my echo show 5! But hey my show 5 is 5 years old and going strong! But this echo show 8 where have you been? This is THE BEST! Not only the bigger picture, the sound is amazing! Seems like this one is a little more user friendly too! She’s tough, quality outstanding! I am more than happy with my new Echo Show 8! Ready to try out the new Alexa AI too! But if your not sure you need this…..you do! Best purchase I’ve made! Set-up wasva breeze! Connected right to my wifi and from there she took over! Great alarm too! Love hearing the weather in the mornings! Style is great! Connects to everything perfectly! Functions better than my show 5, faster, more helpful if that makes sense? Love the camera cover too! Get this today! For you or a gift! I’m loving mine! Highly recommend!

Love this device… wish I could watch cable DVR on it!
We had an original Amazon Echo in the kitchen. Tiny… plugged into a socket…done! It wasn’t very loud, and had a crappy speaker, but I figured it was good for turning things on/off, basic stuff. So when the annual sales came around, I saw a deal on this thing. Compared it to other devices…the smaller, rounded ones, even the larger Show… this one is perfect! It’s nestled inbetween things against the wall on the counter – didn’t think it would look good mounted. It’s for the kitchen. When cooking, I can watch some channels, even Amazon Prime video. Too bad it won’t connect to our Verizon DVR – need a larger Echo Show for that, apparently! But it’s got a fast response, can get very loud, and so far, the WiFi has been decent. Not sure how to limit pictures of things I’ve been searching using my Amazon account, though! Sometimes, I don’t want my wife to see the gifts for her that I’m investigating! This thing gives it away. Probably a setting to fix that. Once we get the AI up to ChatGPT-level, you’ll be able to have full-blown conversations!A plus.. we have an ARLO camera system. Until this, we’d only been able to view them via the app. I can simply say, “Ziggy,” – yeah, we named it Ziggy – “show me the Front Door..” and voila, the Front Door appears! That’s very handy for checking when someone’s at the door and we’re in the kitchen. Like all the other Alexa devices, this one does the same things, and has other features, like gestures..which I tried, but didn’t figure out how to use yet. Mostly, we use it to turn the multiple WiFi-based Kasa devices I have in the kitchen – LED under-cabinet lights, color-changing, and overhead lighting. It’s pretty durable.. and the basic stand works well. It doesn’t take up much room, which is a plus, but the screen is very clear, and bright! And…it’s the best sound I’ve ever heard from an Alexa device. It’s definitely changed the kitchen experience for us!

Great product
I really like the new larger screen. This replaced my quirky, small Echo Show that was beginning to lag and malfunction. The speaker quality seems much improved, as does the display. I did the setup after ordering and prior to receiving, but not all my settings migrated to this new model. I’m still figuring it out, as there are some differences. Still, I REALLY like all the features: news, weather, photos, shopping, lists, reminders, our camera views on-screen, music, I can ask it to run my robovac, and I even have it set to detect when my dogs bark-I receive a notification and then it plays “dog calming” music, haha. Definitely worth it!

Echo Show Review
The Echo Show has quickly become a must-have in my home. The screen is vibrant and clear, perfect for video calls, streaming music videos, or even watching shows on Amazon Prime. Alexa is responsive and helpful, whether I’m asking for the weather, controlling smart home devices, or getting reminders. The sound quality is also impressive for its size—great for listening to music or podcasts. Overall, it’s a versatile, user-friendly device that enhances my daily routine.

I’m absolutely loving my Alexa, I have the echo show 8 in glacier white. I have the original 2018 HomePods that I’ve been using since 2018 and they just have let me down repeatedly. Apple hasn’t really added anything new at all nor have they continued innovating the HomePod line like Amazon has with their various echo “Alexa” enabled devices. I cost ask my HomePods much without it telling me I can’t, but Alexa on the other hand has an answer for pretty much everything and that is soooo much better to have around. The sound quality of the device is actually amazing. Having only ever used apples HomePod and seeing the quality of friends and family’s older echos and google homes, I always thought HomePod was the top. But echo show 8 is literally on par with a HomePod. It truly lives up to the “spatial audio” name. The screen quality is actually pretty good for being a basic screen. It’s overall pretty responsive to the point it’s not annoying to use.The built in camera quality is pretty good as well! Only thing it suffers with is being placed in direct sunlight. But when positioned correctly it’s a pretty good picture quality. The built in smarts of Alexa are way beyond what I’m use too. I purchased a fire tv 4K max as well and have found out that you can control the entire thing hands free, and not just basic on/off, find X…show. But you can ask Alexa to scroll left/right/down/up and ask her to select items onscreen. I can be all nice a cozy in my blanket wrapped up and get Alexa to click the next episode button for me…… worth the price of all of it right there! Siri could never!I’m impressed with Alexa and absolutely cannot wait for Alexa+ to make it even better.

This thing is AMAZING, especially with my Blink Outdoor cameras! The setup was ridiculously easy, and now I can check all my camera feeds right on the screen. It’s so smooth and responsive, no lag or fuss, and it makes keeping an eye on things around the house super convenient. The audio is fantastic too, so I can even hear what’s going on outside if I need to. I’m constantly amazed by how seamlessly it all works together, like they were made for each other. Seriously.

We had an earlier version “Echo” in a bedroom and decided to add this one in the kitchen, replacing a Google Assistant device. (Google Assistant seemed to need a lot of re-sets, was pretty non-intuitive, and couldn’t be relied on.). It’s great for the usual features like finding information and keeping time. It connects to our “Ring” doorbell and shows who’s at the front door. It shows our family pictures. It plays music with pretty good fidelity. It keeps shopping lists (and other lists) and displays them on the screen. All that’s great, but you have to put up with the annoyances of advertising and suggestions of things we should use it for, reminders that, in the end, we’re not altogether in control of it.
